I started this experiment on June 11th and reported my findings back to my BNI chapter on June 18th. The photo below was taken the evening of June 17th. Here are the results after six days.

The apple slice in the USANA Essentials (center jar) looks almost freshly sliced. You can see the beginnings of suspicious growths on the surface of the water. Evidently the nutrients in the Essentials are also optimal for mold.
The apple slice in the plain water (right jar) has definitely begun to spoil, as would be expected.
What’s most disturbing is the apple slice in the leading multivitamin (left jar). It is in serious trouble! Again, as reported in my earlier post, this is not meant to be a scientifically accurate experiment. Nonetheless, I am amazed at how poorly the leading multivitamin fared.
You decide for yourself what sort of nutritional supplement you’ll trust your health to. For myself, I’ll stay with USANA.

If the ingrediants in USANA are optimal for mold growth, then couldn’t you say the same for the “leading brand” multivitamin used?
Evidently so, Mary. But mold appears to be not very discriminating, in that the control jar of the apple slice in just water also grew mold. As I said in my post, I’ll stick with Usana!
Thanks for writing.
